The City of Armadale is located about 25 kilometers from the capital city of Perth, Western Australia and is named after Armadale in West Lothian, Scotland. As you might expect there are a large number of Scots living in the area who, along with other European settlers, continue to show their passion for their National game of Association Football.

Not only does the game have a strong following within the Armadale region, it is also growing into one of the major recreational sports within Western Australia. On-field success and the accommodating atmosphere at Armadale Soccer Club has been favourably recognised in recent seasons, with the "Reds" having twice been asked to entertain professional outfit Perak, from Malaysia. Following those visits, the development and success has continued, with the recent completion of what is being hailed as the most successful season in the Club's history (2004); achieving Premier League status.

The Armadale Soccer Club itself is a realtively new entity having been established in only 1997. This is a result of two existing local sides, Armadale Park and Armadale City, combining their resources to form an organisation that shares the common goal of promoting the game of soccer to the community.

Both Clubs were well established and were very much rivals in earlier days. Sadly though, the development of the game was inconsistent and had become somewhat stifled until the commitment to become "one" was agreed to. Now, despite initial resistance from stalwarts of both factions, it is quite evident that the merger is a resounding success with a distinct harmony and a united optimism for the future. With cooperation from various Government bodies and a lot of hard work from its members, Armadale Soccer Club can now boast some of the better amenities in the area, in terms of playing and social facilities.

With the introduction in 2005 of one governing body to oversee all elements of the game (I.e. Juniors, Seniors, Ladies Veterans and Masters), the foundations are well placed for the Armadale club to play their part in the continuing development of the game of soccer in Western Australia.

Under the guidance of a Management Committee, the Club is divided into Junior and Senior factions, currently running their independent committees. The Junior Committee is responsible for promoting the game of soccer to the local community and its environs; to encourage then develop as many children as possible between the ages of 5 and 16, allowing them to participate and enjoy all facets of soccer at a level that compliments their ability. They are the Club's future. The Senior Committee is responsible for the seasonal running of all senior players which includes State League teams, Social, Veterans, Masters, and Ladies teams.
